Who is Faruk Dilaver?

Faruk Dilaver was born in 1946 in Vezirköprü, Samsun. He attended primary school in Vezirköprü, secondary school in Tokat, high school in Ordu, and Air Force Communication Electronics School in İzmir. Finally, he graduated from Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences. He also studied computers in Germany and England for many years.

He was also a great contributor to the introduction and establishment of the computer in Turkey and trained many experts in this field.

After working as an Air Radar Petty Officer for eight years and as a computer trainer for three years, he voluntarily quit the Air Force. He assumed the position of Technical Manager in a foundation affiliated with Hacettepe University. After this position, he pioneered the establishment of four companies in the computer industry and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. After completing thirty years of professional and business life, he founded the Yunus Emre Culture and Solidarity Association and devoted his life to research and spreading Yunus Emre’s ideas and culture. In parallel with this work, he authored numerous Sufi works, five of which have been translated into five languages, including English.

He still holds seminars and conferences in line with Yunus Emre’s ideas of love, brotherhood, and peace in our country and abroad, and he serves as the president of the Federation of Yunus Emre Associations.

Faruk Dilaver is married and has two children.
